Tripler Education Complex NEWSLETTER July 2012

The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is required for some army Warrant Officer Programs and some Advanced Leader Courses (BNCOC). This test is given at Schofield Barracks by appointment only. The Tripler / Fort Shafter Education Counselor can provide soldiers with their appointment slip – saving them a drive to Schofield. If you have a legitimate reason to take this test contact the Tripler Education Center counselor at 433-4184.

On June 18, 2012 office hours for the following were changed: Counseling / Administrative Services, Testing, LRC Operations, and Seeing a College Representative. New hours are 0900 – 1700. *Rooms will remain available, as usual, for SOM/ Promotion Board, etc. Continue to contact administrative services for room reservations.

The next GT Improvement Class will begin on July 23 and end on August 23. Classes meet from 0830 – 1130 hours, Monday through Thursday. Plan now! Registration has begun. This is an on-duty class, therefore:
1) Command approval is necessary
2) Commander’s attendance policy will be followed
3) Uniform as prescribed by the commander.
Moanalua Aiea Community School for Adults is the contractor for GT Improvement classes. A $10 fee is payable during the first class session.
